SCC FINAL LOCAL HEARING !!

Latest News - 10/30/2009

Yes, there is an SCC hearing in Lovettsville! Save the date now November 19 at 7:00 pm at the Lovettsville Community Center, 57 E. Broad Way. The meeting will start at 6:00 pm for Intervenors to schedule witnesses and learn the process for testifying at the January hearing, this will be followed by the speaking portion starting at 7:00 pm. This is a continuation of the public hearings from the summer. People who have not previously spoken and are not intervenors now have an opportunity to make their opposition to PATH known to the SCC. Anyone who can attend, should, and anyone who knows someone who has not spoken should ask them to speak. It is an opportunity for citizens who didn't file as intervenors and didn't testify during the summer because they weren't here to make their voices heard. We now have EXPERT testimony collaborating what we have been saying all along there is no need, PATH does not add reliability, it has health impacts due to the EMF's and it will increase air pollution. Read the expert testimony and attack PATH with facts contradicting their propoganda. This is an opportunity to mass forces. It is the last oppurtunity for the local community and its elected leaders to speak out in front of the SCC to voice concerns and tell them that the evidentiary hearing in January 2010 should be held in Leesburg, and not in Richmond, where few can afford to attend.
